34 weeks!

Bingo is coming soon! Only 42 days left until the ETA! We are so excited! We are planning our baby shower on Monday! Actually, baby shower/art show by the pool! Bingo does everything in style, of course.
Other than that we are trying to find a new car, which proved harder than we thought. So no luck yet, but we're not in that much of a hurry. I really liked the Nissan Xterra, but it doesn't seem like it is in the cards for us. So we keep looking.
I try to stay in good prego shape by swimming, it is so nice to feel weightless for a moment!
Loving having a pool! Bingo is loving it too!

Lamaze!

Wow! We just came back from our all-in-one-day lamaze class! Apparently people take this class over the course of six weeks! Man! Not us! Plenty of information, enough to freak me out a little, but to spread it out over six weeks would be a stretch! We learnt how to breathe properly for the different stages of labor and for daddy to do what mommy says when she says it.. Sounds good! But then we also discussed PAIN. Not so funny anymore. There was a DVD to watch also in which we got to see an actual vaginal birth. OUCH! But oh so emotional! We both cried a little I think. I weigh in at a good 180 pounds or so now, never been heavier in my life. Bingo has turned its little head downwards, but is still kicking up a storm! Little feet tickling my ribs now and then. WE really can't wait to meet him or her!

Well, at 33 weeks now, Bingo's arrival is around the corner! After today's class, we are at least a little more prepared for the big day!

Bingo checks into the Marriott!

Maybe I haven't told you, but we were actually checked into the Marriott when we took the pregnancy test and we haven't been there since. Apart from me going there everyday for work, but you know what I mean. So we checked in again. 6th floor ocean front! Full kitchen and jacuzzi tub! Awesome! The belly has grown to gigantic proportions! Well, 56 days to go now, which means that I was almost 32 weeks in the pictures. How much bigger can I possibly get?

Hanna and Craig came to visit for a day!

After living on Maui for nearly eight years, we finally got a visit! I hadn't seen Hanna for over 20 years so it was about time we reconnected!
The vog laid thick over the Valley Isle, making for a hot and hazy day, so instead of melting down at sea level, we headed up up up and away! Haleakala National Park, 10000 feet up, above the vog and the humidity! Gorgeous! Hanna, Craig and Bingo's first visit to the crater!
We had a marvellous time with Hanna and Craig and wished that they could have stayed longer! But hopefully we don't have to wait another twenty years before we meet again.
After we dropped the honeymooners off at their ship, we started heading back to our side of the island. As we came around the pali to the west side, we saw that the whole hillside was on fire! Lucky us that they didn't close the road then. Eventually they did and we almost didn't make it to our Doc's appointment the next day. But since Bingo is our lucky charm, of course the road opened in time. Bingo's heartbeat had slowed down a little, from 180 or so down to about 150 and everything was fine. Mom does not have gestational diabetes either! Good job! Seven months along and now I have to go see the Doc every two weeks instead of once a month.
We'll keep you posted!

30 weeks and ten to go!

We're trucking on at a steady pace over here. Bingo's brain is developing right now, or so I read in my book, and everything is just hunky dory! It is getting hotter though. I have finally grown out of my uniform at work and am now allowed to wear whatever is comfortable and big enough.
Kel has been doing great at work lately! The gallery had one of their featured artists, Victor Bregeda, in the gallery last month. Yesterday was his last night and he was fĂȘted with a grand send-off party to which we were invited. Mr. Bregeda had brought along with him Mrs. Bregeda, who could easily have been mistaken for Miss Bregeda... Nevertheless, the party was a great success with live music, good people and good food!
