4 days short of 7 months

The Wright Weekend Warriors are at it again! We haven't been upcountry in a while, so we figured it was about time. Mom and Dad both had stressful weeks at work, so we needed to get our serenity back. You can see who's at the wheel! Ella went on the swings by herself for the first time! Yaya! She did smile, so we assume she enjoyed it.

She also got her first tooth and already knows good dental hygiene, check it out! Today she also managed to roll from her back around to her belly, she has only been able to do the other way before. So many milestones now!

Big Girll!

Ella finally got her well-baby check-up, only almost three months past due.. Better late than never, as they say. She is 27 inches tall, 70 cm and she weighs in at just about 18 lbs, 8 kg and that puts her in the 97th percentile for height but smack in the middle for weight. So for everyone out there (not likely to read this, but still) who claims our baby is chubby, SHE IS NOT! Sorry, but I get awfully tired of all such comments. She also got a follow up round of the immunizations. She took it well, considering that they gave her THREE shots in her little legs. All was well, no fever, no fussiness only our happy baby! Until the night after... She was so cranky that I almost lost it! She did not want to sleep, she did not want to be up, only being held for a while. Eventually, after a bath and a bottle, she settled down and fell asleep. I hope she'll be back to her jolly self in the morning.
Well, here she is, showing off her skills!
And by the way, we have snow on Haleakala! The crater, you know, 10000 feet. Wish I could go up there and make some snow angels!

A Day of Firsts!

Ella has done the following for the first time today;

Rolled over (while we were watching, we've never got to actually witness it before)
Held her own bottle at the right angle to actually get to its contents and tilting it accordingly when needed
Waved at her Daddy
Sat up without any support!
Unfortunately, you'd have to take our word for the rolling over and the waving, but the other two we have pictures to prove!
Daddy also wanted the editor to put a skimboarding shot here, and voila! A great one too, on his new board he got from Santa at Exile...
It was a rainy Monday and a sunny Tuesday and we went to Baldwin Beach both days. Ella also got to meet her new friend, Walther Raymond, about a week old. Hard to believe that Ella was once that small! She looked like a giant next to him!
And thank you Auntie Dannie for the awesome tank top! Life is Fake, Wrestling is Real! We love it!!
