Bike Outing

 

With the bike, the whole neighborhood is within easy reach!

Ella likes to pick berries for the birds and put them in a clever spot and hope that the birds are equally clever... 

 Biking all the way calls for a rest..

Merry Christmas!

So Christmas came to Maui too. Everyone had been on their best behavior for the past year so Santa really delivered!! We are so grateful for all the lovely gifts we received, thank you all!!
The biggest present that didn't even fit under the tree, was of course Ella's bike! She is so happy about it and all she ever wants to do now is to ride it! She got it quickly and is loving it. Kelstar finally got the Alfred Hitchcock box set he's been wanting for the past eight or so years. Plus so much other stuff! As for mommy, well, I scored too! I got a new super cool hat, nail polish, a Wes Anderson movie, a personalized calendar and so much more. We are so grateful, did I mention that?
Anywho, after a nice breakfast and the opening of the presents, we went for a Christmas visit to Starbucks and then for some supplies and then home to ride the bike and cook a nice Christmas roast dinner. Even though we missed you all dearly, we had a really nice and mellow Christmas.
We hope that you all did too!

Thanksgiving was celebrated at home. Surf in the morning and then home to start cooking!

As per tradition, Christmas starts the next day.. Tree is up and decorated by yours truly and my house elf Ella. My little Elf has been very helpful with the shopping and baking too. Very Christmassy!

Just trying blogging on the go

We are in California again! And we love it!

Ella and mommy travelled via Keflavik, Iceland, to Denver, Colorado, and then finally to LAX. We arrived safely with all of our luggage just a bit later than scheduled. One long day of flying but Ella was at her best behavior all the way (when is she not?).
Grandpa Mike and pappa kelly picked us up at the airport and drove us all the way down to Laguna.
We made it to the beach the very next day and Ella was happy to be back with pappa. We spent a lovely Mother's Day with fellow mommies Jenna and grandma Jane, playing at the pool with Ella's awesome cousins Liam and Nate the great.
We have also had time to go to Disneyland! Wow! Ella was a little scared at some of the rides, but she loved autopia, the cars you know, and king Arthur's carousel. Dumbo ranked high too.
We are having such a great time that we almost don't want to leave!
