Another fab weekend!

Mommy finally got off her okole and pulled out the Pocket Rocket for a first-time-shortboarding-post-baby-session! Yaya! The waves were gentle at Hookipa!
Daddy got a nice skimming session at Paia Bay while Mommy and Ellie went shopping. Squeezed in a little froyo for us too...
Being on that side already, we stopped by to see Ella's little friend Walther. He had just gotten a little kiddiepool that Ella got the honor to break in! She changed into her bathing suit and jumped right in! Walther joined in too, with his Mommy.
We had so much fun that we invited them over to Launiupoko the next day for some more fun in the sun!

More stand-up paddle practice for Mommy but the waves were so good I had to swap it out for the regular longboard. Daddy pulled off quite a few cool tricks on the longboard! We had a great time with our friends and we saw one of the last whales of the season too!

Ella wears her sunglasses at night...

One of the rewards for finishing p90x was a new bikini! Forgot to mention, I finished! Down from size 6 to size 2 and I am tipping the scales at -18 lbs. Maybe I will post some before and after pictures.
We went to Whaler's Village to hunt for a new bikini and to have an excuse to get some froyo... Yogurtland opened up where Kel's old gallery used to be and it is absolutely delish! Ella debuted her first shoes that mommy ordered, just for the occasion..
The day before we went to Kula to meet some new friends of ours, Bodil and Dave. Bodil is Swedish just like me and her and her husband Dave live in a beautiful house up in Kula. We were invited for lunch and we had a great time! Nice to make new friends! Ella behaved and showed herself from her best side!
Being on the other side already, we figured we might as well go visit Manolo and his family too in their new house in Haiku. (Kula and Haiku are both located on the slopes of Haleakala, the volcano, and hence on the other side of the island from where we live, in case you didn't know).
Manolo had bought a stand up paddle board that he convinced us to borrow. We don't like SUP, but thought it could be worth a go.
So after finding a bikini for mommy and new sunnies for Ella, we went to Launiupoko to try it out. Kel refused to take the paddle but I gave it a go. Hurt myself only a little..

Other than that we are very much looking forward to our visitors from Sweden, arriving next week!

Ella Mahina Bell, 9 months!

Wow! Our little baby has turned 9 months! Unbelievable! She went for her check-up and she is 29,5" tall, 74,9 cm that is and she weighs in at 20,3 lbs, 9,16 kg. She is one tall baby! Unfortunately, they had to give her some shots too. Not popular! But it's a necessary evil... She did great though, cried a bit but then she was fine! We felt like we had to reward her so we went to Baby Gap and got her some new cute outfits!

The day before, which was the actual 9 month birthday, we went to Baby Beach in town and Mommy and Ella went for a swim while Daddy caught some waves.
She got some hair too, finally! Enough to make a mohawk!
