Further up and further in!

We covered some new (for us) ground yesterday. We hiked up Olowalu valley along the river. It was strenuous and at times flat-out difficult, but beautiful! We hiked with some people from work, which was nice. We were pooped afterwards and went home for a family nap haha!
The next day, today in other words, I went to have my wisdom's tooth pulled. Ouch! Punch me in the face-OUCH!

Kapalua Lake hike!

It was a beautiful day for a hike! Too bad the entire thing was paved and led to a man-made lake.. Kind of took away from the 'natural' experience. Beautiful nevertheless! Ella too! Happy baby!

Tsunami!

We evacuated and headed to higher ground. Roads were closed and everything were somewhat chaotic.
We brought our tent, clever as we are, and put it up on top of the hill. Ella, as it turns out, is a happy camper! No sleep for Mommy, at least not much. Woke up and had no idea whatsoever about any damage done during the dark hours of the night. Woke up to sunshine and trafficjam...
Hardly any damage to speak of to the island and everyone is safe and sound. We are happy for that but so sad for Japan!

Ella's fave food!

My second attempt at making baby food turned out to be a success! Apple and blueberry puree! The first one, the green supermash, wasn't as popular... I have since learnt that she is too little for broccoli and that's probably whu she doesn't like it. A for effort though, right?

For all you non-facebookers

This is how we found Ella when we pulled over after shopping for protein bars at Whole Foods... Those little fingers can apparently open anything..
(I posted this on facebook already, but it's just too classic I had to share it)
